At our Stratford Facility,
we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense and off-road equipment companies. We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments, and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.
Key areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Creation and maintenance of production plan & master schedule per customer demand using ERP system
- Plans & prepared production schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, working with sales/accounting/purchasing and manufacturing departments to meet sales forecasts
- Keep production priorities current, complete, and accurate while maintaining a cross-functional production control team
- Work cross-functionally to ensure all labour, material, and operational inputs can support the aligned schedule
- Generate plant forecasting of load and both short-term and long - term available capacity.
- Generate Master Production Schedules and Manufacturing Orders, forecasting inventory requirements, optimizing inventory levels as well as helping the organization evaluate and implement an inventory management ERP system
- Review sales forecasts, customer demands, and schedule production batches based on inventory levels and production lead time
- Responsible for accurate raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory levels; accuracy of product data for finished product
- Advises management of the status of work in progress and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Create and/or organize a production schedule daily and also make sure that every output (level) is recorded appropriately in the correct system
- Work hand-in-hand with other employees to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2+ years of previous work-related experience in job related field
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration is an asset, or equivalent industry experience with a background in planning, supply chain, inventory management and other related fields.
