About the role
Join Peoples Park Tower as a Maintenance Person in our vibrant community located in Moncton. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining our facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for our residents, reflecting our commitment to excellence and community well-being.
Responsibilities
- Minor repairs to refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers
- Perform preventative maintenance as required
- Conduct general building maintenance and repair
- Perform seasonal grounds maintenance including lawn maintenance, snow removal, etc
- Collect and dispose of garbage
- Ensure all other maintenance needs are completed and log books are up to date
- Test emergency power, generator and lighting
- Assist with regular inspections
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude.
- A general knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing and heating, electrical, painting
- Ability to work alone and also as a part of our team
- Candidate must have a flexible schedule to work weekends and evenings
- Post secondary training in related trade is considered an asset
- RCMP criminal history check must be provided
- Must be able to lift 75lbs without assistance
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
This is a full time position, benefits follow after successful completion of the probationary period and pension after one year. The successful candidate will be willing to work weekends and evenings and will take turns being on call.
