Western Energy Services Corp. is an oilfield service company which provides contract drilling services in Canada and in the United States with Stoneham Drilling. In addition, Western provides well servicing and rental services.
##Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, networking, internet recruiting resources, cold calls, and employee referrals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with potential candidates and stay up to date with current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate onboarding with crew requirements to maintain stable crew rotations.
- Monitor and track training requirements, coordinating training for field crews.
- Monitor workforce availability and plan manpower requirements based on operational needs.
- Become proficient in the HRIS (Dayforce) and act as resource for field personnel related inquiries.
- Perform data entry, maintenance, and updates in the HRIS as required.
- Serve as an internal resource, responding promptly to employee HR inquiries. Perform other related duties as required.
##Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 3+ years direct oilfield services industry experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Self-starter with high degree of initiative.
- Strong research skills and ability to source recruitment information.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills; able to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of the importance of customer service.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and tactfully.
- Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
##Special Conditions of Employment
- Occasional travel required
- Ability to work on-call as required
