Asset Maintenance Support Manager
Start a career in your own backyard. As an Asset Maintenance Support Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for supporting regional maintenance management through participation, analysis, recommendations and administration of maintenance and capital related requests and programs.
While Balgonie is the preferred locations for this position, consideration will be given to other locations within the East Territory based on the qualifications and circumstances of the successful candidate.
What you’ll do
- Support and coordinate human resource management requirements, including the recruitment, development, promotion, performance management and discipline of maintenance staff, and participate in related employee/industrial relations activities.
- Collaborate with the country operations management team to plan, develop, submit, and oversee capital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate and manage planned facility maintenance shutdowns, working closely with affected maintenance and operations teams to minimize disruption and ensure efficiency.
- Oversee quality assurance for regional projects and activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes, divisional standards, and customer expectations.
- Provide strategic direction to Supply Chain Services in negotiating and evaluating contracted maintenance and construction services to ensure value and performance.
What you bring to our team
- Proven ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing contracts with external service providers.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including managing regional maintenance projects remotely.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in agri-business facility maintenance and/or construction, including bulk material handling systems.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience (considered an asset).
- Grade 12 education, supplemented by journeyed status in an industrial trade.
