The Opportunity:
Lead the delivery of multiple IT and non-IT projects for COR.IQ, ensuring they stay on track, on budget, and aligned with business goals. You’ll manage scope, timelines, resources, and costs, while identifying and escalating risks or issues that need senior-level attention. You’ll also guide Project Control Officers (PCOs) supporting project activities and help drive successful outcomes across the board.
This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite expectations, typically 1 to 2 days per week. New employees are expected to be onsite 2 to 3 times a week during their first three months to support onboarding and collaboration. #LI-Hybrid
About The Role:
- Lead medium-scale, moderately complex projects or strategic initiatives, including new products or services.
- Track dependencies and coordinate activities across related projects.
- Keep stakeholders informed through formal and informal updates.
- Facilitate team meetings to share progress, assignments, and address issues.
- Coordinate technical, system, and process audits for both client and internal engagements.
- Support documentation efforts (e.g., Statements of Work, proposals, contracts, estimates, requirements, audits).
- Participate in post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure project reporting aligns with Symcor standards and timelines, including weekly Project Status Reports (PSRs), steering committee updates, and executive reporting.
- Review and forecast resource assignments and project demand.
- Identify major variances, propose solutions, and recommend actions.
- Maintain and adjust the project resource plan to meet timelines and budget.
- Collaborate with Front Office Technical Consultants to document due diligence and align implementation with business objectives.
- Contribute to effort estimates, notional timelines, and scope definition.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
- College diploma or undergraduate university degree in a related discipline or a combination of experience, education and/or training deemed to be equivalent.
- PMP Certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience following a structured project management methodology.
- Preferred 3-5 years of IT experience in any of the following areas: Development, Support, Testing, Project Management or Maintenance.
Skill requirements:
- Working knowledge of the PMI’s approach to Project Management and demonstrated successful completion of an introduction to Project Management course.
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong Communication Skills at varying levels of the organization, including external facing clients.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex projects.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
