The Opportunity:
As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in transforming business data into actionable insights by:
- Analyzing and interpreting data from multiple repositories to understand business performance and needs.
- Developing reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide clear insights for operations and decision-makers.
- Presenting complex data in simple, easy-to-understand terms that drive informed decisions.
- Collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business objectives.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying trends, opportunities, and innovative approaches to data use.
We're looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player who embodies our company values and is committed to providing top-notch service.
What You’ll Do:
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to extract insights and develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support the actuarial function to facilitate informed decision-making across various business functions.
- Conduct peer reviews of colleagues’ work in a safe and professional environment.
- Document data sources, methodologies, processes, and analytical findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate on meeting presentations and materials as required.
- Work closely with leadership teams to create data strategies that support data modeling.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of three years direct experience with data analysis.
- Programming experience in SQL, Python or R.
- Ability to use SQL queries to obtain data required for analysis from the company’s systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with advanced knowledge of the full MS Office Suite.
- Consistency of applying accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail approaches.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Effectively prioritize assignments and handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to train and mentor team members.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or in a related field.
