About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment in support of all assets and equipment.
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve mill uptime/run ability, assemble and install new machinery and equipment and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings.
- Proficient in DCS troubleshooting.
- Drive hardware and communications equipment troubleshooting and board level replacement.
- Calibration and maintenance of all tagged field instrumentation.
- Be able to troubleshoot field devices using technology such as Delta‑V, Allen‑Bradley PLC’s.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- A valid journeyman card, indicating successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. A journeyman’s certification is preferred but we will consider equivalent experience without certifications.
- A positive work attitude and a keen sense of responsibility, particularly with respect to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Four (4) years of experience in a related field and three (3) to five (5) years in an industrial environment.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Solid computer skills and experience with electronic work orders.
- Self‑directed.
- Excellent trouble shooting/problem solving skills.
Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
- Available to work varying hours that may include shift, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond to emergency call‑ins.
- Able to work both independently and as a part of the team.
- Pass pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Work in industrial conditions.
