Setup Technician – Afternoon Shift

The Role
We currently have an opening for a Set-Up Technician, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. We are currently hiring for the Night (3 pm – 11 pm) shift. However, candidates must be flexible to work any/all shifts, and overtime as required. The successful candidate will build upon their present knowledge/experience in injection moulding and will be required to perform duties including, but not limited to:
- Set-up and start-up of molding machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling as specified on the set-up master.
- Ensuring processes are running within the tolerances of the set-up master
- Notifying the Production Supervisor of any processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.
- Documenting all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master.
- Verifying color feeders are set to set up master and products produced meet quality standards.
- Adhering to all relevant Safety Procedures: lock-out/tag-out, equipment inspection, etc.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $27.12 -$32.13 per hour + afternoon shift premium of $0.50/hour

Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must have a good basic understanding of the injection moulding process, and have well-developed mechanical/technical abilities. They must be eager to learn and attend training courses, as this is a requirement of the position. The position also requires that the successful candidate be in good physical condition, with the ability to climb into tight places, underneath machines and on top of machines. They will need to be a very quality-conscious team member, and be dedicated to working in a neat, organized and efficient manner.
The successful candidate must be flexible in working hours and shift and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
