Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Remote (Canada)

About The Role One of Pine’s operating companies is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting functions and support the strategic growth of the business. This high-impact role will oversee essential accounting areas including AP/AR, general ledger, month-end close, and audit processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and is excited to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the company’s general ledger and chart of accounts
Ensure accurate classification and dimensional detail for all accounting entries
Lead the month-end close process including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and cash forecasting
Prepare internal financial reports and support ESG reporting packages
Oversee accounts payable and receivable workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing
Lead the annual audit process in collaboration with Pine, internal teams, and external auditors
Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and support audit requests
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (required)
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience managing month-end close and audits
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices
Proficiency with ERP systems
Strong Excel and analytical skills; Power BI experience a plus
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Growth mindset with a desire to take on increasing responsibility
Preferred Qualifications CPA or progress toward CPA (not required)
Experience in a private equity–backed or multi-entity business
Familiarity with multi-currency operations, including Canadian Dollar (CAD), is a plus.
Background in professional services, consulting, or operations-driven organizations
