Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Supervisor
Location: London, ON (Hub) — Supporting London, Essex, Orillia, and Owen Sound About the Role We're seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations across our multi-site network of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, forklifts, and material handling equipment. Based in London, ON, this role oversees four locations, with room to grow into additional sites as our network expands.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop a team of 5+ mechanics/technicians across sites — scheduling, evaluations, and training. Oversee PM, diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on heavy vehicles, diesel engines, hydraulics, and material handling equipment. Build maintenance schedules and SOPs to boost reliability and cut downtime. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and provincial regulations. Track key metrics (MTTR, MTBF, cost per mile, PM compliance) to drive improvements. Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and repair budgets. Coordinate with operations to prioritize repairs and protect fleet availability. Run safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality inspections. Maintain accurate CMMS/fleet management records. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.
What You Bring
3–5+ years in heavy equipment/commercial truck , vans -fleet maintenance. 2–3+ years in a supervisory or lead mechanic role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and material handling equipment. Proven diagnostic skills for complex mechanical/electrical issues. Familiarity with DOT/EPA guidelines; ASE certification a plus. Experience with fleet management software (Infor EAM or similar) and MS Office. Valid driver's license required; CDL a strong plus.
