About the role

Rubicon Holdings Corp. is seeking a reliable and detail-orientedFarm Operations Supervisor to support cultivation, crop maintenance, harvest, and post-harvest activities within our greenhouse operations. The successful candidate will assist with planting, transplanting, watering, pruning, defoliation, sanitation, harvest support, trimming, and general crop handling tasks in accordance with cultivation schedules, standard operating procedures, and company policies.This role requires hands-on work in a fast-paced agricultural environment and requires the ability to follow instructions, work efficiently as part of a team, maintain product quality, and comply with all health and safety, sanitation, quality assurance, and security standards.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of harvesting labourers, farm labourers, farm machinery operators, and other agricultural workers.
  • Supervise and oversee growing, cultivation, harvesting, and other crop-related operations.
  • Monitor and enforce procedures to maintain crop health, quality, and overall production standards.
  • Support the development of work schedules and help establish daily procedures and task priorities.
  • Supervise the maintenance of farm infrastructure, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Ensure farm safety, food safety, security, sanitation, and bio-security procedures are followed.
  • Maintain quality control, production, and operational records.
  • Support training and guidance for workers to ensure tasks are completed safely and correctly.
  • Monitor work performance, workflow, and productivity, escalating issues when needed.
  • Assist with general farm duties as required.
  • Operate and support the use of farm-related technology, tools, and equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • A college certificate or specialized training in agriculture, horticulture, crop production, greenhouse operations, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Equivalent hands-on agricultural experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in agriculture, greenhouse operations, cultivation, crop production, or a related farm environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience coordinating, training, leading, or supervising workers is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of farm safety, sanitation, crop health, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or extended hours when operationally required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Spanish is considered an asset.

Work Conditions

  • Work is performed in a greenhouse, cultivation, production, and/or farm environment.

  • The role may involve standing for long periods, repetitive tasks, lifting, bending, and working in warm or humid conditions.

  • The successful candidate must be comfortable working around plants, equipment, and agricultural materials.

  • Weekend, holiday, or extended hours may be required depending on operational needs.

  • Wage range of $21.50–$22.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
