Rate of Pay: $34.68 - 41.39

Start Date: September 20, 2026
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Community Development Manager
(CDM) isr responsible to initiate and lead new community service initiatives and programs. These initiatives may include the development and implementation of respite services, children’s services, early intervention, community-based residential services, facility closure initiatives, retirement programs, employment program developments and other models of services within Christian Horizons.
The Community Development embraces the Christian Faith Foundation of the
organization; ensures the Christian ethos and the Values, Vision and Mission permeate their job responsibilities; and personally commits to the expectations as outlined in the Statement of Faith.
- New program and service development
- Ongoing program and service development
- Community Development Management (Networking)
Experience: 1-2 years previous experience
Education: College Diploma or University degree
Skills or Required Training
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of community supports
- Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent report writing and proposal development skills
- Understanding of Developmental Services legislation and licensing requirements
- Professionalism and strong negotiation skills
- Confidentiality
- Occasional research required
- Physical/Mental Demands: Intermittent periods of considerable demands
- High level of self-direction required
- G-license and personal insurance required
