Vice President, Digital Experience – Walmart Canada

The Vice President, Digital Experience is a key member of the eCommerce leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering best-in-class digital customer experiences across Walmart.ca and the Walmart Canada app. This leader will ensure that every digital touchpoint reflects the Walmart brand promise, drives customer engagement, and seamlessly integrates with the broader omnichannel experience.

This role requires a visionary leader with strong strategic acumen and operational excellence, capable of driving cross-functional collaboration across eCommerce, merchandising, marketing, technology, and global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience Strategy & Execution
    Lead the development of a frictionless, engaging, and future-ready digital experience. Identify and resolve pain points, enhance personalization, and ensure consistency across digital and physical channels. Build processes and capabilities that align online and in-store journeys.

  • Site & App Experience Management
    Oversee strategy, planning, merchandising, deployment, optimization, and analytics for Walmart.ca and the app. Partner with merchandising and marketplace teams to deliver seasonally relevant, category and cross-category experiences that reflect customer needs and business priorities.

  • Data-Driven Search, Personalization & Automation
    Leverage customer insights and analytics to tailor experiences by category and segment. Drive automation and personalization to reduce cost-to-sell and scale operations efficiently, while maintaining relevance and impact.

  • Technology & Innovation Leadership
    Champion the use of cutting-edge tools and platforms to continuously improve the digital experience. Stay ahead of industry trends and apply learnings from global teams and other markets to enhance performance and innovation.

  • Optimization & Performance Culture
    Foster a test-and-learn culture that uses data to drive hypotheses, experimentation, and continuous improvement. Own the web analytics platform and ensure insights are translated into actionable strategies.

  • Strategic Planning & Communication
    Lead strategic planning for digital experience initiatives. Communicate priorities, progress, and impact across the organization. Build and scale a high-performing team and culture focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

Qualifications:

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Experience : 12 to 15+ years in eCommerce, Site Merchandising or digital operations, or customer experience leadership.

  • Leadership : Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize, and drive strategic initiatives collaboratively.

  • Digital Expertise : Deep knowledge of site/app management, search, personalization, site merchandising and content, automation, and omnichannel retail.

  • Analytical Skills : Strong proficiency in data analysis, web analytics, and performance optimization.

  • Innovation : Familiarity with emerging technologies and a track record of applying innovation to improve customer experience.

  • Communication : Excellent strategic planning and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Talent building : ability to attract, build and grow a team of digital talents, that will continue to lead Omnichannel retailing in the organization.
