Role Description

The Physiotherapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Truro, NS. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patients’ physical function, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering hands-on therapy and exercise-based interventions. The Physiotherapist will monitor progress, adjust treatment as needed, and educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and long-term wellness. The role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and contributing to a safe and respectful clinic environment. The Physiotherapist may also participate in community outreach, patient education events, and continuous improvement of clinical services.

Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physiotherapist in Nova Scotia or able to apply for provisional license, with a recognized degree in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy. Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and orthopedic conditions using evidence-based practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Proficiency in clinical documentation, case management, and use of electronic medical records or clinic management software. Commitment to professional development, including participation in continuing education, specialized training, or relevant certifications. Ability to manage a varied caseload, prioritize tasks, and maintain high standards of care in a busy clinical setting. Experience in private practice, sports rehabilitation, or community-based care is an asset. Comfort providing inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care to patients of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
