About the Role:

As the Supervisor, Shop Services, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of welding, machine, and carpentry shop services that support construction, maintenance, and emergency response activities. You will supervise and support skilled shop teams, help prioritize work, and ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop shop services team, including performance management and competency confirmation
  • Oversee welding, machine, and carpentry shop operations supporting gas distribution and transmission work
  • Ensure compliance with weld quality management plans, procedures, and applicable codes and standards
  • Monitor safety, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective action where required
  • Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate team effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Construction, and Quality teams to align shop capabilities with field needs
  • Lead investigations into incidents or quality concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and manage budgets, monitor variances, and support sound financial decision‑making

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education, trade certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a welding environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs.
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the region.
