About the role
Distribution Horizon Nature is a company specializing in the distribution of natural and organic products through a vast network of retailers. To support our growth and ensure the reliability of our transportation fleet, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team.
Your Responsibilities As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, your mission will be to maintain and repair our heavy vehicles to ensure their safety and performance. More specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Repairing or replacing defective parts in accordance with applicable standards.
- Carry out regulatory mechanical inspections.
- Maintain maintenance records and report any anomalies.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to minimize downtime.
Required Profile
- DEP (vocational diploma) in heavy vehicle mechanics or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Skills in diagnostics and problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Class 1 or 3 driver's license (an asset).
