About the role
✨ What You'll Do
- Build, assemble, and commission injection molds
- Perform mold repairs, refurbishments, and precision bench work
- Operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and toolroom equipment
- Conduct hand-fitting, polishing, and finishing to tight tolerances (+/- 0.0005")
- Diagnose mold issues and support production during trials
- Maintain mold documentation and support continuous improvement
- Mentor junior technicians and help maintain a safe, organized toolroom
🔍 What We're Looking For
- 7-10+ years of hands-on mold making / toolroom machining
- Strong experience with manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders)
- Skilled in mold tear-down, fitting, polishing, and repair
- Knowledge of blow mold components (neck finishes, pinch-off, slides, cooling circuits)
- Ability to read CAD drawings, prints, and GD&T
- Red Seal Tool & Die Maker certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a traditional toolroom environment
