Location: Aurora, ON

Compensation: Starting at $180,000+, plus 20% annual bonus, company vehicle, RRSP matching and comprehensive benefits.

Position Overview

The General Manager, Operations will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Ontario business while driving operational excellence and profitability.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for managing operations across multiple project sites and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for the Ontario operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable execution across all business functions. Lead and mentor a team of operational leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance. Drive operational excellence by improving productivity, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance. Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that support the organization's long-term growth objectives. Assume full accountability for operational budgets, forecasting, financial performance, cost control, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiencies. Analyze operational and financial metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and implement strategies that improve business performance. Lead organizational change initiatives and support the successful integration of new business units, systems, and operational processes. Represent the organization professionally with customers, partners, industry stakeholders, and external agencies. Provide leadership and decision-making support within a 24/7 operational environment, responding to critical business issues as required. Perform other leadership responsibilities as required to support the continued growth and success of the organization.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience within construction, infrastructure, industrial services, manufacturing, or related industries. Proven experience leading large operational teams. Strong labour relations experience. Demonstrated experience managing operational budgets, financial performance, and business metrics. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams. Experience driving organizational change and operational improvements. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of safety, workforce planning, scheduling, equipment utilization, and operational performance.
