The Role:
The Team Lead, Collections works as part of the bigger Accounts Receivable and Collections team. As a Team Lead, you will support the team with their day-to-day administrative tasks, ad-hoc requests, and work closely with Management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review outstanding A/R (especially > 60 days) and follow-up internally within PBS and/or with customers
- Act as a back-up for Manager, Accounting – Corporate
- Manage collections team including reviewing daily deposit postings
- Handle Accounts Receivable (A/R) inquiries via phone calls and emails professionally
- Create and maintain relationships with internal teams and customers
- Engage within PBS organization to ensure all team members follow required processes
- Ad-Hoc projects
- Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in an Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration program
- 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Thorough understanding of business principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem solving and troubleshooting kills
- Strong documentation abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management and organization
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization
