The Position:
The Supply Chain Coordinator Co-op will Assist the Supply Chain Team in the design and implementation of planning, purchasing and inventory processes at Eclipse. The incumbent will assist with Purchase Order management, proper inventory controls, document procedures and provide Database information support. Develop vendor metrics and regular input to the supplier score card to support to ensure the effective delivery of the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist with PO management
  • Assist with material allocation and assignment to project jobs
  • Assist the buying team with expediting and shipment tracking
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory management
  • Develop and maintain metrics for Supply Chain
  • Clerical assignments & data entry
  • Follow up on placed orders
  • Purchasing analysis and improvement recommendations
  • Maintain a good relationship with the suppliers and internal departments
  • Identify supplier quality and delivery issues.
  • Assist with updating departmental SOP's
  • Responsible for reporting to the manager, any problems that may affect a product or procedure and provide recommendations and solutions
  • Compete other duties and projects as assigned
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned
  • Ensure scheduled milestones are met
  • Notify the appropriate departments if milestones are not met
  • Assist the logistic team to schedule domestic and international shipments as assigned.
  • Track, update and file the scheduled shipments
  • Collaborate and communicate with buyer, PMT, and others involved in the shipment about information related to the shipments.
  • Maintain logistics freight PO’s and receive invoices
  • Develop and maintain metrics for the Logistics department.
  • Investigate and resolve failed/lost or damaged shipments, and freight claims.
  • Assist accounting in resolving invoice issues.
  • Maintain good relationships with the carriers and internal departments.
  • Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy
  • Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code
  • Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program
  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision
  • A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge in the functions of purchasing, expediting, logistics and material controls
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate pertinent information in a clear and concise manner
  • Detail-oriented; reliable and accurate work performance
  • Experience within an IT (ERP) environment is desired
  • Students should be enrolled in a post-secondary academic program that requires successful completion of a co-op/work term.
