Loomis International (CA) Inc. is the spearheading office representing Canada on a national scale. Our office is in a Small Business format located in Mississauga, close to Pearson Airport, and is ready for expansion.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Control Room Operator is responsible for improving efficiency in operation and reducing the risk of loss and security breach. To be successful in this role, you should be confident decision-maker in terms of control room procedures, helping crew to develop a secure and compliance operation within the Branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Opening and closing procedures
  • Monitoring crew at all-times while maintaining consistent radio communication
  • Distributing and controlling route sheets for crew
  • Administration and Control for: Uniforms, keys, gun audits
  • Completing overall building security procedures, including patrolling the premise
  • Administering Visitor Procedure and Controls, including:
  1. Providing Access to Visitors/Clients

  2. Administration of Courier Receipts

  3. Providing security escorts to visitors inside the office and warehouse (when required)

  • Following and adhering to all Health, Safety and Security Procedures
  • Assisting in equipment maintenance and audits
  • Assisting storage personnel with blind audits operations
  • Monitoring Building Cameras
  • Communicating with facility maintenance teams as assigned
  • Administrative tasks as delegated

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Flexibility with schedule a must
  • Exceptional Multi-tasking and Organizational skills a must
  • 2 years Control Room experience preferred
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Firearms License (Possession and Acquisition License with both Restricted and Non-Restricted)
  • Must be able to complete requirements by the Ontario Chief Firearms Office to obtain and maintain an Authorization to Carry Permit for Restricted and Prohibited Firearms.
  • Familiarity with GEOTAB an asset
  • Familiarity with MS Office an asset

This is a Full-Time position with 40 hours guaranteed.
