We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager, Transition and Move, who can provide project management leadership and professional expertise to support the South Niagara Hospital (SNH) and Welland Redevelopment projects by leading the planning, coordination, and implementation of complex transition and move activities across multiple Niagara Health Sites. The incumbent will ensure the seamless transition of services, equipment, staff, and patients from existing facilities to the South Niagara Hospital and Welland Hospital. This role is critical in ensuring safe, coordinated, and operationally ready environments aligned with project schedules and contractual commitments.

Your Role:

As the Project Manager, South Niagara Hospital, you will:

o Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of all transition and move activities supporting the South Niagara Hospital and Welland Redevelopment projects
o Manage and oversee transition and move scope delivered by the Project Company (PCo), Transition Advisors, and Niagara Health teams to ensure alignment with project agreements, schedules, and operational requirements
o Coordinate transition activities across multiple Niagara Health sites to support the safe relocation of services, staff, equipment, and patients to new facilities
o Develop, manage, and update transition workplans, schedules, and engagement strategies to support successful project delivery
o Oversee development and implementation of departmental transition and move plans, including collaboration with Operational Readiness teams on patient move planning
o Facilitate user engagement and collaboration with clinical and non-clinical affected parties to support transition readiness
o Coordinate move requirements related to furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE), ICAT systems, and operational infrastructure
o Ensure transition activities are fully integrated with construction, commissioning, technology, and operational readiness workstreams
o Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and lead or support mitigation and resolution strategies
o Support project governance processes by preparing updates, participating in meetings, and advancing decisions within established approval frameworks
o Work collaboratively with Infrastructure Ontario, PCo, consultants, and internal affected parties to support coordinated project execution
o Provide input into project planning, scheduling, and implementation activities across redevelopment initiatives
o Foster open communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to support a cohesive and successful transition to new facilities

Who You Are:

We are looking for an exceptional individual who:

o Brings strong experience in healthcare transition and move planning within complex capital projects
o Understands the operational, clinical, and logistical challenges involved in hospital relocations
o Demonstrates strong project management discipline and organizational leadership
o Is highly collaborative and comfortable working within large, multidisciplinary project teams
o Communicates effectively and confidently with clinical leaders, consultants, contractors, and executive affected parties
o Excels at coordinating multiple priorities within fast-paced, schedule-driven environments
o Takes a proactive, solutions-focused approach to managing risks and resolving complex issues
o Demonstrates strong facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
o Works both independently and collaboratively while maintaining accountability for outcomes

Qualifications:

o Post-secondary degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (required); healthcare-related education considered an asset
o 5-10 years of project management experience in healthcare environments, including transition and move planning
o Understanding of hospital planning, redevelopment, and engineering services
o Demonstrated experience managing complex, concurrent projects and meeting deadlines
o Strong project planning, contract administration, and implementation experience
o Proven ability to work effectively with consultants, specialists, user groups, staff, physicians, and patients/families
o Excellent change management experience and skills
o Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
o Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
o Strong negotiation and consensus-building capabilities
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within teams
o Highly developed facilitation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
o Ability to maintain confidentiality

Assets Include:

o PMP designation
o Experience with clinical relocations or hospital moves
o Experience working within DBFM models and familiarity with Project Agreements
o Experience with Bluebeam Revu
