Who you are

- 7+ years combined experience in corporate or operational accounting roles (experience in public accounting or large corporate environment preferred)
- BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred
- Ability to understand and apply U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance requirements across various processes, driving process and system improvements
- Experience with SAP (or other large ERP system) is strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality accounting outcomes
- Proactive in identifying discrepancies, solving problems, and implementing corrective actions
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of driving process and system improvements
- Effective communicator with the ability to convey accounting information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Strong influencing and relationship-building skills, with proven success leading global cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in complex, high-performing environments; adaptable and resilient under pressure, with a proven ability to lead teams through change in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings
What the job involves
- Manage global accounting for accrued and operating expenses (OPEX), including treatment of complex contracts and reciprocal arrangements
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and audit support
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting issues in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., Sourcing, Procurement, GTM & Strategic Finance, Revenue Accounting, Technical Accounting, DT) to operationalize accounting treatment for complex contracts and strategic arrangements
- Design and implement scalable processes that integrate accounting and operational execution for complex contracts and reciprocal arrangements, ensuring alignment with accounting policies, financial reporting standards, and SOX compliance
- Collaborate with global accounting teams, including colleagues in India, to drive process improvements and consistency across operations
- Represent Corporate Accounting in cross-functional initiatives and finance transformation projects
- Drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability in close processes by leveraging technologies such as Power BI and AI, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely accounting data
- Design, implement, and maintain effective global accounting policies, processes, and SOX-compliant internal controls
- Manage a team of three, including remote U.S. employees and international team members (e.g., in India)
