Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Leads and is responsible for managing the Field Operations Team
  • Plays a key Strategic role in the PLK Canadian Leadership team
  • Plays a key Strategic role in the Popeyes Advisory Council (PAC) as a primary owner of the operational content and the franchisee engagement over their term of service.
  • Responsible for developing deep understanding of the franchisees’ businesses, markets, and genuine relationships with franchisees as well as strategy for territory with regards to operations, development, and franchising.
  • Works with internal partners (Marketing, Analytics, Procurement, Finance, Development and Technology) to implement initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Responsible for contributing to the improvement of the guest experience in Popeyes restaurants in the market, as measured by operations metrics including Guest Satisfaction, Brand Standards & Food Safety Evaluations, and Speed of Service.
  • Consults with Franchisees and their teams on business performance and providing tactics for improvement.
  • Influences Franchisees to implement brand initiatives and build relationships.
  • Responsible for partnering with franchisees on profitability and their restaurant and business-level P&L.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external parties
  • Serves as the brand and company’s point of contact for all items related to franchisees and the market for operations, profitability, and growth
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop and deploy training and support programs for all levels of the restaurant operation
  • Liaise with franchisees to gather ongoing feedback from restaurants and facilitate best practices throughout the system
  • Communicate and present updates on the brands operational strategy and various initiatives to key field and franchisee stakeholders

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Knowledge of and experience with franchise businesses, operations, marketing, and development
  • 5-7 years of QSR, restaurant, retail, food & beverage, or similar industry expertise to accurately and credibly provide guidance to franchisees and their employees to help make their businesses more successful
  • Understanding of the restaurant P&L, including levers to pull and how to drive restaurant profitability
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain franchisee relationships and influence behavior
  • Skilled in oral and written presentations, problem solving, investment/financial competency to understand how to think about return on investment of capital put into new restaurants, remodels, and equipment to drive productive business planning conversations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Webcast experiences using MS Teams and Zoom
  • Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth
  • This is primarily a field-based role with light travel required across Canada.
  • Regular meetings in-person are required at the PLK Offices in Toronto.

Base salary range of $140,000 – $165,000 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills.

This posting is for a position that will become vacant on or around late March 2026.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company’s long-term incentive plan.
