Position Overview – Assistant Customer Value Manager

As an Assistant Customer Value Manager (AVCM) you will apply your analytical skills as you look for the best possible logistics solutions for our clients, while utilizing your leadership skills to guide and develop our team members. You will play a major role in eliminating waste & increasing profitability, ensuring long term success for Logikor and our valued clients.
Job Duties
Assist Customer Value Management (CVM) with analyzing logistics designs/re-designs for customer supply chains based on volume fluctuations and holidays.
Ensure efficient routing and equipment utilization to achieve best value pricing and internal cost control with regards to business development/integrated solution services (e.g. advising customers on optimizing performance, reducing costs, operation efficiencies, etc.) to optimally meet the needs of the organization, suppliers and customers.
Implement, monitor and improve logistics solutions for potential customers and develop, distribute analyze, and compile new and potential or current customer pricing (entire cycle) scenarios.
Assist CVM with monitoring sales activity, support and follow up with responsible customers. Manage existing customer expansion requests and on-going relationships/meetings.
Manage freight claim processes with carrier & customer side.
Develop/maintain procedures and processes to streamline rating and service to customers through Transportation Management System (TMS) and other technological capabilities. Ensure current customer rate maintenance and new customer rates are updated in the TMS.
Investigate, prospect and implement new customers as well as expand current customer business.
Focus on continually improving operating conditions and communications related to customer & supplier base, internal team processes, TMS, standards and team members. Develop tools, processes, and recommendations as required to support customers and operations.
Develop & ensure standardized reporting is accurate and sent to carriers, customers and internally, meeting monthly requirements. Create and monitor customer & internal team daily KPI’s.
Conduct training for new team members and external customers as well as provide ongoing training and growth & development opportunities to team members
Support all team members and customers to build solid, proactive relationships including, but not limited to, support with problem-solving, troubleshooting, conflict resolution, development, etc.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree/diploma in related field,
Above average verbal and written communication skills,
Previous experience training and develop others an asset,
Ability to work in fast paced environment,
Extremely strong initiative and interpersonal skills,
Ability to lead and take ownership of projects,
An assertive & proactive approach to problem solving and a strong sense of urgency,
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Customer service orientation (internal & external),
Proven ability to sell transactional & transportation services,
Must have experience working with Mercury Gate,
Proficient in MS Office with a minimum of intermediate to advanced Excel skills,
Strong negotiating skills,
Understanding Highway Traffic Act, MTO Regulations and FMCSR 49 as pertains to the operation of Commercial Motor Vehicles and Commercial Drivers.
