Description The LRV Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading the day-to-day aspects of light rail vehicle (LRV) maintenance. This will include working on morning, afternoon & night shifts as required. Working weekends will also be required.
Knowledge And Skills
- Ability to supervise, motivate and train maintenance team.
- Superior organizational and multi-taskingskills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Basic Microsoft Office and computer skills.
- Strong analytical ability to diagnose and resolve practical issues.
- Able to read and understand schematics, operations, service and safety manuals.
- Strong attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Self-starter to anticipate and resolve needs and requirements.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.
- Strong manual dexterity to use various hand tools and equipment.
- Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and on-call requirements.
- Valid G driver’s license with ability to operate Hi-Rail vehicles on track.
- Attend and successfully complete Keolis LRV CAT-1/2 training to operate Light Rail Vehicles.
Experience
- Diploma in electrical or mechanical technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in rail transit or transportation industry preferred.
- Experience in writing maintenance procedures and work instructions.
- Maintenance work order experience; Maximo experience an asset.
- DZ license an asset.
- Trade license an asset.
Key Accountabilities Managerial leadership:
- Plan, schedule, assign, monitor, train and develop a maintenance team to achieve Keolis and Maintenance objectives.
- Ensure the team meets safety, quality, and customer service standards.
- Identify and respond to safety hazards concerns, and support respective JHSC.
- Attend daily maintenance production meetings to ensure maintenance, inspection, and cleaning.
- Comply with established standards.
- May also be required to supervise Building Workers and Technicians occasionally.
- DZ license an asset.
- Participate in professional development as required.
Contractor Relations
- Oversee, supervise, and audit work performed by subcontractors to meet Keolis standards.
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and other third parties to ensure service level requirements are maintained.
LRV Technical Maintenance
- Ensure operation of LRV and shop equipment by leading the team in the diagnosis, maintenance, repair, servicing, and cleaning meeting Keolis and Maintenance standards.
- Ensure the team meets safety, quality, and customer service standards.
- Monitor and resolve maintenance equipment and servicing issues, complete audits, identify and recommend improvements and implement change.
- Perform Electro-Mechanical Technician duties as required.
- Shop 5S activities and snow cleaning as needed.
Administration And Other
- Assist in the development and implementation of Maintenance procedures and work guideline.
- Record work completed and materials used in the work order system.
- Conduct inventory checks and order equipment, materials, and supplies for LRV Maintenance to support LRV Operations
- May be required to be a certified member of the JHSC.
- Comply with current company rules, regulations, procedures and operational instructions.
- Conduct all work in line with quality management expectations, as outlined in the relevant company directives and procedure.
- Conduct all work safely, as outlined in the relevant company directives andprocedure.
- Other duties as assigned.
