Côté Gold is being developed in partnership with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation and Métis Nation of Ontario, Region 3.
The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

Manager, Projects The Manager of Projects is responsible for leading and executing earthworks and infrastructure projects at the mine site. This includes planning, budgeting, contractor oversight, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. The role is pivotal in supporting site development and expansion.
Key Responsibilities Area 1:
Project Delivery and Execution.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans for site infrastructure and earthworks.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and integrate best practices into projects.
- Align project milestones with site development needs through coordination with engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
- Support workforce planning, training and performance management.
Area 2 Operational Excellence & Cost Management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Ensure all project activities meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and cost control measures.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate service performance and efficiency.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Area 3 Team Leadership and Development.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Earthworks & Infrastructure Superintendents and field teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional growth.
- Support succession planning and talent development within the earthworks and infrastructure teams.
- Promote diversity, equity and inclusion in team practices and decision-making.
Job Qualifications Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications Or Equivalents
- Post-secondary education in engineering, or related field.
- Background in a skilled trade with equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certification in Project Management is considered an asset.
Work experience - Nature & Length
- A minimum of 10 years in project management within mining or resource sector, with at least 5 years of related management experience.
- Expereince managing contractors and service agreements in a minin or resource sector is preferred.
Additional Qualifications - Competency Requirements
- Results oriented with a focus on process optimization.
- Highly moticated and indepently driven with a sense of urgency.
- Good working knowledge of all MS Office programs.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and staff.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.
