About The Role We're seeking an Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to grow within the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a positive, professional attitude and strong customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective clients to identify potential product needs
- Respond to and process incoming calls and orders
- Open new accounts and support existing customers
- Make proactive outbound calls to generate business
- Provide pricing quotes and follow up on outstanding quotations
- Offer basic technical support on products
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and new products
- Identify opportunities to support clients with project needs and non-stock products
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term relationships
Qualifications & Requirements
- Post-secondary education
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Previous sales or inside sales experience in the Canadian electrical industry (asset)
- Knowledge of the electrical industry (asset)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop long-term client relationships
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and attention to detail
- Technical aptitude with the ability to learn products quickly
- Experience preparing quotations, bid packages, and pricing proposals
- Willingness to work overtime when required and contribute to a team-focused environment
