We are looking for a proactive and detailed-oriented Billing Clerk to join our busy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in accounting management and billing processes.

Responsibilities Include, Among Others

  • Preparing, editing, and finalizing pre-bills and accounts for partners monthly
  • Entering, reviewing, and editing docket entries for clarity and adherence to firm and client billing requirements
  • Ensuring accurate client accrual deadlines and requirements are captured in Soluno
  • Reviewing and submitting client accruals and estimates through email or e-billing platforms to meet client deadlines
  • Proactively monitoring the billing process by identifying bottlenecks and collaborating with the team on solutions
  • Accurately enter and code client-related expenses into Soluno while ensuring proper matter allocation
  • Serve as a point of contact for billing-related issues, ensuring clear and timely communication with clients and team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a billing clerk, specifically in a legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong working knowledge of Excel and legal billing softwares (e.g., Clio, Cosmolex, Soluno, PC Law)
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, while maintaining efficiency
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
