Work includes solving problems like: how Publishing content reaches the Platform, improving lab’s efficiency with internal tools, enabling global team collaboration, and replacing legacy systems.
Success requires learning the current architecture of the internal tools and interfacing systems, creating system blueprints, understanding TechInsights’ strategy, and communicating technical possibilities to the Software team and other functions. The role involves working across the organization to understand business needs and determine architecture improvements.
The Architect helps communicate the technical vision to different audiences and ensures the Technology Roadmap meets strategic needs logically and financially.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop architectures that yield "right-sized" scalability, flexibility, and performance for the TechInsights Platform

  • Own the data architecture for all content and evolve the data architecture for Reverse Engineering, Market Analysis, and other business units

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Platform, Design, Engineering, Content Creation, Content Product Management, Customer Success, Finance, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales

  • Work with Engineers to communicate developed architectures so they can work within them and design solutions for Developers

  • Identify high-value areas for automation, toolsets, data design, and other support from the TechInsights Platform

  • Inform build/buy/partner decisions by understanding the intent, market value, and strategic value of major new areas of functionality

  • In conjunction with Product Managers, interface with major customers to understand needs and changing user and market requirements

  • Develop and maintain the Internal Tools Technology Roadmap, factoring in corporate strategy and clearly defining role, scope, and interfaces for all major components

  • Perform Proof of Concepts to explore new solutions and identify areas of improvement in the architecture, whether technological or commercial

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business Management, Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline, or a combination of equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or related technical roles with demonstrable experience owning and evolving complex data architectures

  • Experience participating in project management frameworks and methodologies, ideally in an Agile environment

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Experience working directly with customers to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical architectures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Core Attributes
