We are now preparing for our upcoming commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
Kardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced Facility Launch Project Manager. As a member of the Global Operations team, this position will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination and execution of all setting up a new production plant.
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of Your Responsibilities Will Be To
- Integrate individual project streams for facilities delivery, equipment delivery, material supply and human resources into a single cohesive project timeline that facilitates on-time delivery, qualification and launch of a new manufacturing facility
- Coordinate detailed factory floor design including warehousing, material staging, production lines, and manufacturing workflows
- Full project management accountability for facility, cleanrooms and utilities, install and qualification of equipment, staging of initial material loading from receipt through POU, and development of resource planning to support these activities
- Develop metrics defining success for all contributing project streams
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure the facility complies with all applicable regulations (e.g., FDA QSR, ISO 13485), successfully completes site audits and attains necessary regulatory approvals
- Establish a central risk register framework and work with the project streams to identify and record all launch risks
- Lead or ensure development of appropriate risk mitigation plans and drive issue resolution across all project streams
- Track and communicate launch status, metrics, and compliance reports to plant leadership and key stakeholders
- Incorporate continuous improvement initiatives into both launch processes and operational preparedness, leveraging best practices and lessons learned

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing the construction or setup of manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Strong working knowledge of finance and manufacturing and supply chain operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in use of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
- Ability to travel and work on-site as required.
Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
- $120,000 - $175,000 (CAD Annually)
