What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Director, Insurance Risk, the Senior Manager plays a key role in executing operational activities for the insurance business, with primary responsibility for Records Management, Business Continuity Management, and supporting a variety of risk and operational initiatives. This role partners closely with channel partners and vendors, and provides oversight on key insurance processes to ensure regulatory adherence, operational excellence, and an improved client experience across all channels and brands.

How you’ll succeed

-Operational and risk process improvement- Lead and support operational and risk-focused process improvement initiatives, identifying and addressing gaps to streamline end-to-end processes. Identify, solution, and implement process changes to reduce client irritants while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory guidelines. Provide oversight and recommendations on business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. -**Records management and business continuity -**Lead Records Management and Business Continuity Management for the insurance business. Manage and respond to incidents, supporting business continuity and effective resolution. -**Consulting and subject matter expertise -**Consult on projects and initiatives originating both within and outside of Insurance, providing subject matter expertise and representing Insurance interests. Maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance products, processes, systems, and emerging legislative requirements. -**Stakeholder communication and collaboration -**Effectively communicate with and consult among multiple stakeholders, including internal and external partners, channel partners, and vendors. Collaborate with stakeholders across Insurance Product, Retail Operations, Business Controls, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other CIBC business partners, as well as external vendors. -**Compliance and governance -**Ensure compliance with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.
