Director of Sales TOOR Hotel Toronto

The Director of Sales drives all revenues, plans and responsibility for long range and day-to-day hotel operations. Reporting to the General Manager, and in keeping with our guidelines this person is responsible for maximizing sales, guest and team satisfaction. This key person communicates with hotel owners and corporate offices, ensuring the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

Grow new business and solicit new accounts; Direct the efforts of the sales team through effective communication while overseeing rate, date and space commitments for room and catering sales; Interview, hire, train, recommend, resolve and provide open communication; Compile reports to include annual and monthly forecast, budget, lead management system, booking reports, market share reports and sales initiatives; Coordinate ongoing research to detect market trends for development of new sales strategies; Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients; Meet with and entertain clients, some of which may require travel; and Initiate preparation of annual plans and execute plans as outlined, adjusting as necessary by current market conditions.

Does this sound like you?

Previous experience as Director of Sales at a hotel; Lifestyle experience strongly preferred; Hotel opening experience is an asset; Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written; and Excellent time management and problem resolution skills.
