About the role

Reporting to the Shipper/Receiver Team Lead, the Shipper/Receiver supports the accurate and timely movement of materials and finished goods. Responsibilities include picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities, processing RMAs, and completing required system transactions to maintain inventory accuracy and meet customer delivery expectations. Shipping Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, label, and ship customer orders in accordance with sales orders, packaging specifications, and carrier requirements. Quality Inspection: Perform final visual inspection of product and packaging to ensure correct items, quantities, and condition prior to shipment. Documentation & Coordination: Prepare shipping documentation (e.g., packing lists, waybills/bills of lading) and coordinate pickups/shipments to meet required ship dates). Status Communication: Communicate shipment status and escalate risks (late orders, shortages, carrier constraints) to the Team Lead. Inquiries: Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding shipment details (carton count, weight, dimensions, tracking, etc). Receiving Inbound Inspection: Receive inbound materials and verify part number, revision, quantity, and condition against purchase orders/intercompany documents. Discrepancy Reporting: Report and document damages, shortages, and overages; support resolution with Purchasing/Quality/Production as required. RMA Processing: Process and verify RMAs, including serial number/quantity validation, and communicate discrepancies to internal stakeholders. Database Transactions: Process various kinds of transactions related to receiving or shipping materials and make sure the NetSuite database is correctly maintained. Systems, Inventory, and Documentation Record Keeping: Maintain organized records for domestic and international shipments/receipts (paper and/or electronic). System Transactions: Complete shipping/receiving and inventory transactions accurately in NetSuite and RF-Smart (and other systems as required). Inventory Control: Support inventory accuracy through proper identification, labeling, staging, and stock handling. Safety, Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement Equipment Safety: Operate packaging and material-handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks, stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers). Housekeeping (5S): Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse (5S). Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and follow LMI policies and safety procedures. Team Support: Provide backup support for Packaging as required. Education and Qualifications Education: High school diploma; post-secondary training or equivalent experience is an asset. Experience: 2+ years of experience in a shipper/receiver or warehouse shipping/receiving role. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 kg (44 lb) frequently and up to 25 kg (55 lb) occasionally and stand for extended periods of time. Equipment Handling: Experience using packaging and material-handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, walking stackers, carts, dollies, box tapers). Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with computers and common business tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets) and ability to learn/operate ERP/WMS systems (NetSuite/RF-Smart preferred). Adaptability: Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing shipping priorities. Communication: Strong communication skills to coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production. Work Ethic: Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, including experience with serial-controlled inventory. Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience) Electronics Handling: Experience packaging and shipping electronic components/devices (ESD handling practices preferred). Shipping Software: Experience with courier portals/shipping tools (FedEx/UPS/DHL/Purolator) and generating shipping labels and documents. Industry Experience: Experience working in the electronics industry. International Logistics: International shipping experience (commercial invoices, basic HS codes, Incoterms, country of origin, courier brokerage processes). Freight & Palletization: Experience with skid building and palletization standards; familiarity with LTL shipments and Bills of Lading. Systems Experience: NetSuite and/or RF-Smart experience.
