As the Research Intern, you will serve as a critical contributor to the development of lab and modeling technologies for mAb purification. Specifically, focus will be on development of lab analytics to aid in molecular level modeling of mAb processes.

What you will accomplish together with us

• Development & testing % optimization of analysis and processes for mAb/Prot. A interactions using BLI technologies.
• Conceive, research & support development of prototype platforms through to proof of concept.
• Work closely with Sartorius product management and development teams to prioritize areas of technology research, expected to extend beyond current product roadmaps.
• Strategic research & development, and transfer in, of analytical and purification technologies to provide a basis for evolution of current and future Sartorius products.
• Gather, analyze and define requirements for analytical and purification system functionality.
• Provide support or guidance to technical support team and R&D teams as needed for transfer of technologies developed and/or adopted into the Sartorius product development or OEM organizations.

What will convince us:

• MS or PhD in Bioengineering, or closely related discipline with formal education and experience with BLI assays fractionation as well as mAb purification.

• Familiarities and past experiences with Octet BLI is a plus.

• Experience & knowledge of state-of the-art BLI and purification technologies and their application for research and development.

• Good knowledge of current developments in mAb processes, including CHO cell culture.

• Previous hands-on experience with characterization and purification of mAb.

• Demonstrated ability to interface with specialists from target biological application areas and engineering disciplines such as mechanical (hardware, fluidic, thermal), electrical, software, sensor technology (optical, electronical), and chemical.

• Experience working as part of multi-partner R&D projects.

The hourly rate is $23.00-$27.16, depending on experience, education, and skills
