Role and Facility Information
Great opportunity to join our Clinic, an established, busy, fully computerized office-based practice in a thriving 3-physician clinic in the beautiful Shuswap. Modern clinic, EMR and congenial colleagues. ER and Obstetrics are available but not essential. Inpatient care and long-term care are provided by the community of family physicians and supported by call group coverage, as well as hospital privileges at Shuswap Lake General Hospital.
Shuswap Lake General Hospital is a 40-bed Level 2 Community Hospital serving a referral population of 60,000. This hospital offers a 24-hour Emergency Department, laboratory and radiology, surgical, inpatient, ambulatory and outpatient care and obstetrical care. Additional features include operating rooms, CT, Echocardiograph, Level 2 ICU and visiting clinics that include orthopedics, urology, obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics. Tertiary centres are located in Kelowna and Kamloops.
Salmon Arm has a very active community, enjoys a mild climate and offers excellent year-round recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and watersports and is very lifestyle focused.
