About the Opportunity
The Monarch Group is seeking a commercially minded Procurement Manager to lead our procurement and strategic sourcing function. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen supplier partnerships, optimize procurement performance, and support operational excellence within a growing North American manufacturing organization. Working closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, Production Planning, and executive leadership, you'll play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier agreements, managing resin and commodity procurement, and driving initiatives that improve cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement and strategic sourcing activities across the organization. Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate long-term supplier agreements. Manage strategic supplier relationships and supplier performance. Monitor resin and commodity markets and develop strategies to manage cost volatility. Support production planning and inventory optimization initiatives. Drive procurement cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Production Planning, and Quality.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven success negotiating supplier agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships. Experience within plastics, plastic packaging, blow molding, injection molding, thermoforming, or related manufacturing industries is strongly preferred. Experience purchasing plastic resins (HDPE, PET, PP, LDPE) and managing commodity-driven or index-based purchasing agreements is considered a strong asset. A commercially minded leader with strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills who thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
