Key Responsibilities Strategic Oversight & Risk Alignment
- Oversee the development and execution of credit strategies for the consumer credit card portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk appetite, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor strategy performance and drive timely enhancements based on data-driven insights.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and compliance in strategy design, documentation, and implementation.
- Support audit and governance activities through analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Portfolio Optimization
- Develop predictive models, business rules, and analytics to drive portfolio growth and resilience.
- Conduct deep-dive statistical analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities—translating insights into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects aligned to business goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams including credit, finance, product, and operations.
- Support change management efforts, including readiness assessments, testing, and implementation of new strategies.
Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in credit strategy development.
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in credit strategy development, risk analytics, portfolio management or related analytics field.
- Strong understanding of credit products, risk systems, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering strategic outcomes.
- Expertise in ROE analysis and implementing strategies that enhance financial performance.
- Advanced technical skills in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across business lines.
- High initiative, adaptability, and ownership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Salary: $69,000.00 - $129,000.00
Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
