About this role
We are recruiting for a Receptionist to join our Head Office in Burnaby, BC.
This role is responsible for maintaining a professional, welcoming, and well-organized front desk while providing administrative support and coordinating office activities and events. The Receptionist plays a key role in shaping the daily experience of employees, clients, and business partners through consistent professionalism and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys a diverse range of responsibilities, and demonstrates a sustained interest in reception as a profession.
Your responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact by answering phones, directing calls appropriately, taking accurate messages, and welcoming and directing visitors in a professional manner
- Own and manage the main reception email inbox with professionalism and discretion, responding to general inquiries from customers and employees by phone, email, or in person
- Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling meeting spaces, managing calendars, and arranging catering for multiple meeting rooms as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception environment, including the front desk, guest lounge areas, and boardrooms
- Provide consistent, high quality administrative support for reception and office operations, including ordering and maintaining office supplies, receiving and sorting mail, and coordinating courier deliveries
- Schedule appointments and manage reception related calendars to ensure smooth daily office operations
- Play a key role in coordinating office events and activities that support employee engagement, culture, and connection
Your experience and skills
- High School Diploma
- 2 or more years in a similar Reception or administrative position, in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (skills assessment will be required)
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrated team player and enthusiasm for contributing to a positive team culture
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Professional, friendly and outgoing demeanor
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure and time constraints – can multi-task well
- Valid BC driver's license and access to vehicle required
