Position Overview

Responsible for providing Technical Systems support and consultation to the City of Vaughan, including analyzing business requirements, designing or evaluating available automated corporate and business solutions, recommending selected alternatives, preparing development and implementation plans, and providing project management and associated report writing.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or suitable equivalent.

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of Management Information Systems including (2) years of systems analysis and project management responsibilities.

• Experience in the implementation and maintenance of Microsoft Power Platform.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in application support, including liaising with internal clients and external consultants.

• Proficiency in the use of general computer software, e.g. Windows, MS Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BU, Project management software, etc.

• Knowledge of PMBOK/BABOK or PMP/IIBA designations would be an asset.

• Experience with AMANDA systems/processes and/or GIS software systems would be an asset.

• Experience in application support including liaising with internal and external clients along with external consultants.

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written including drafting correspondence, presentations, and reports.
