Il aura l’opportunité de participer activement à des projets stratégiques et à la structuration financière de l’entreprise dans-un environnement collaboratif et entrepreneurial où les idées, l’autonomie et les initiatives sont valorisées.

PRINCIPALES TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Concevoir, développer et mettre en œuvre un cadre financier à l'appui de tous les domaines de la fonction financière (flux de trésorerie, analyse des comptes clients et des comptes fournisseurs, niveaux des stocks, provisions pour stocks, rapprochements bancaires, cartes de crédit et paiements bancaires).
  • Développe une culture de responsabilité financière et de prise de décision stratégique.
  • Développe des indicateurs et des objectifs clés de performance opérationnelle.
  • Calculer le montant des commissions et des redevances dues et à payer aux clients de la Concession.
  • Élaborer et gèrer les budgets annuels et les fonds de réserve, y compris les prévisions de revenus et de dépenses avec le Directeur administratif et financier
  • Diriger la gestion et le contrôle de la fonction comptable, y compris la gestion de l'actif et du passif, la gestion des investissements, la gestion des risques et des performances, les rapports, les analyses et la soumission en temps voulu de tous les documents statutaires en collaboration avec le comptable senior.
  • Contrôler la situation financière et fournir une analyse des écarts par rapport au budget et aux prévisions.
  • Produire des rapports financiers conformément aux normes établies et préparer des rapports annuels et mensuels.
  • Assurer la conformité des rapports et des procédures financières avec les règlements fédéraux et provinciaux.
  • Effectuer et mettre en œuvre le contrôle de clôture de fin de mois.
  • Superviser le processus de vérification de fin d'année, y compris l'examen et/ou la préparation des documents de travail, des calendriers, des analyses et d'autres documents requis.
  • S'assurer que les risques sont gérés par des contrôles internes appropriés.
  • S'assurer que les politiques et procédures financières et comptables sont à jour et respectées.
  • Superviser la préparation des états financiers annuels audités et assurer la liaison avec les auditeurs externes. (Interne et Externe, importation, taxes (TPS/TVQ).
  • S'assurer de la conformité des procédures au Canada et aux États-Unis.
  • Concevoir et optimiser des outils BI, des tableaux de bord dynamiques et des rapports automatisés pour faciliter l'accès et l'analyse de l'information financière.
  • Agir en tant que bras droit du CFO et collaborer étroitement avec les équipes opérationnelles sur divers projets spéciaux liés à l'expansion de l'organisation.

COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS REQUISES

  • BSc./BA en comptabilité, finance ou dans un domaine pertinent ; MSc/MA est un plus.
  • Titre comptable CPA en voie d’obtention ou récemment obtenu, un atout majeur
  • 4 à 6 ans d’expérience en comptabilité, idéalement en entreprise ou en cabinet
  • Solides compétences analytiques et grande capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités
  • Maîtrise avancée d’Excel; connaissance d’un ERP tel que(SAP,constitue un atout tout comme l’utilisation de power BI.
  • Esprit d’équipe, autonomie, rigueur et désir d’apprendre
  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication (orale et écrite).
  • Flexibilité (temps et tâches).
  • Capacité à utiliser de grandes bases de données (BI, Momentis, Columbus, autres).

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will hold a versatile role combining accounting, financial control, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and the enhancement of business intelligence (BI) tools within a growing organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to actively contribute to strategic projects and the continued development of the company’s financial structure in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where ideas, autonomy, and initiative are valued.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, and implement a financial framework supporting all areas of the finance function, including cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable analysis, inventory levels, inventory provisions, bank reconciliations, credit cards, and bank payments. Foster a culture of financial accountability and strategic decision-making. Develop key operational performance indicators and objectives. Calculate commissions and royalties due and payable to concession partners. Ensure that contracts are managed in accordance with the company’s practices and policies. Develop and manage annual budgets and reserve funds, including revenue and expense forecasts, in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer. Lead the management and oversight of the accounting function, including assets and liabilities, investments, risks and performance, reporting, financial analysis, and the timely filing of all statutory documents, in collaboration with the Senior Accountant. Monitor the company’s financial position and provide variance analyses against budgets and forecasts. Prepare financial reports in accordance with established standards, including monthly and annual reports. Ensure that financial reporting and procedures comply with applicable federal and provincial regulations. Perform and implement month-end closing controls. Oversee the year-end audit process, including the review and/or preparation of working papers, schedules, analyses, and other required documentation. Ensure that financial risks are managed through appropriate internal controls. Ensure that financial and accounting policies and procedures remain current and are consistently followed. Oversee the preparation of annual audited financial statements and liaise with internal and external auditors. Ensure compliance with requirements related to imports and applicable taxes, including GST and QST. Ensure that procedures comply with applicable Canadian and U.S. requirements. Maintain organized administrative and archival records. Design and optimize BI tools, dynamic dashboards, and automated reports to improve access to and analysis of financial information. Act as the CFO’s right hand and work closely with operational teams on special projects related to the organization’s growth and expansion.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is an asset. CPA designation in progress or recently obtained is a significant asset. Four to six years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate environment or accounting firm. Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with an ERP system such as SAP is an asset, as is experience using Power BI. Team-oriented mindset, autonomy, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility regarding responsibilities and working hours. Ability to work with large databases and systems such as BI, Momentis, Columbus, and other platforms. Bilingual proficiency in French and English is required due to the company’s client base in the United States, Canada, and Asia.
