About the role

What is the opportunity?

This unique position calls on your client-focused mindset and natural problem-solving skills to make a difference in every client interaction. Specifically, you help clients with their everyday banking needs, via the telephone. As an RBC ambassador, you add value in the moments that matter most to clients and collaborate with partners to help clients achieve their goals.

What will you do?

  • Support and serve clients by utilizing RBC resources and materials to deliver advice and recommendations during client conversations
  • Leverage technology to deliver a memorable client experience, drive solutions and retain business
  • Use effective listening and probing questions to understand and identify the root cause of client issues or inquiries
  • Actively listen and engage clients in conversation to further understand their individual needs
  • Apply appropriate processes and procedures to accurately respond to client and complete all inquiries
  • Proactively take ownership for resolving client problems as first point of contact or escalate to the appropriate service partner as required
  • Manage risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes and controls to protect client and shareholder interests.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Certificate or Diploma in Banking, Business Administration, or related field or experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a customer service environment
  • Goal-oriented individual with a demonstrated passion for putting clients first
  • Strong oral communication skills with the ability to proactively connect with clients and deliver exceptional service
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (e.g. smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
  • Problem-solving and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in call handling and problem resolution
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Working conditions

  • Flexibility to operate in a 24/7 shift environment (9 shifts)
  • Minimum of 2 Saturdays/Sundays per month and Public Holidays
