Job Description:

As a Resident Service Agent, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals managing addiction and co-occurring disorders. Your primary responsibilities will involve client interaction, providing compassionate support, and contributing to client’s overall well-being. Your understanding of addiction, ability to de-escalate challenging situations, and commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect are essential.

You will work closely with the Nursing and Clinical Teams, assisting with daily tasks and collaborating on patient care during programming. A professional demeanor and effective communication skills with patients and colleagues are crucial aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support cleaning duties as assigned and ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Prepare, serve, and distribute meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner; responsible for setting up and taking down the dining area.
  • Deep clean resident rooms and participate in preventative maintenance program
  • Clean all assigned areas: sanitize, dust, vacuum, spot clean carpets, clean bathrooms, windows, and maintain cleanliness in common areas; move furniture and supplies as required.
  • Wash and organize plates, cups, glasses, pots, and pans.
  • Report maintenance needs in residence rooms, service areas, and public spaces.
  • Return lost and found articles to the Staff Office
  • Monitor use and inventory of housekeeping supplies
  • Conduct bag searches, room searches, and appropriate pat-downs.
  • Complete intake paperwork for new clients and process transactions
  • Assist clients with medications per protocols and ensure accurate documentation
  • Engage clients in treatment activities/interventions to ensure their safety and well-being
  • Maintain communication all departments regarding client progress and concerns
  • Prioritize client safety, manage crisis situations, and minimize harm using behavior management skills.
  • Maintain clear and confidential records of client interactions and progress notes
  • Perform other related duties and follow standards as assigned/applicable

Key Qualifications:

  • Willingness and availability for shifts as needed
  • G Driver's License required for client transport
  • Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
  • Certification in Medication Administration is preferred
