About the job:
- Assist in developing/Validation AI-driven models for antenna optimization, including using machine learning algorithms to predict and improve antenna parameters such as gain, bandwidth, and radiation patterns.
- Support electromagnetic simulations using tools like HFSS, CST Microwave Studio, Empire or similar EM software, integrating AI to automate and accelerate simulation workflows.
- Conduct literature reviews and experiments on AI applications in EM and RF domains, such as neural networks for inverse design of antennas or generative models for EM field predictions.
- Analyze simulation data, visualize results using tools like MATLAB, Python (with libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, or TensorFlow), and prepare reports on findings.
- Contribute to open-source or internal repositories with code for AI-EM integration.
Job requirements
About the ideal candidate:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on AI, electromagnetics, or RF engineering.
- Basic understanding of electromagnetic theory, antenna principles, RF circuits, and wave propagation.
- Familiarity with EM simulation software (e.g., ANSYS HFSS, CST, Empire, FEKO) and programming languages like Python or MATLAB.
- Introductory knowledge of AI/ML concepts, such as neural networks, optimization algorithms, or data-driven modeling.
- Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn applied to engineering problems.
- Knowledge of advanced topics like metamaterials, phased arrays, or 5G/6G antenna systems.
- Prior internship or project experience in AI for physical simulations or hardware prototyping.
