The Solutions Delivery & Operations unit, part of the Human Capital Management Practice, specializes in end-to-end product lifecycle management, focusing on customer-centric solutions for both internal and external clients. The Application Architect plays a key role in analyzing government information related to business architecture and consulting with stakeholders on specific elements for initiatives such as the Publications Ontario eCommerce Order Management System, Production Print Equipment Consolidation and Refresh, Surplus Asset Management System, and other client-driven projects.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and planning of IT systems and enterprise architecture.
Apply OPS Target State Architecture principles and adhere to established architecture and software engineering standards.
Design and manage reusable IT services across large-scale or multiple projects and establish and apply architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Develop and maintain business capability models aligned with corporate strategy.
Contribute to enterprise blueprints and strategic alignment initiatives.
Deliver key architecture documents, including Solution Architecture Document (SAD), Business Architecture Document (BAD), and Information Architecture Document (IAD).
Review Requests for Bids (RFBs) and present findings to the Architecture Review Board (ARB).
Provide ongoing support for security reviews, ARB updates, penetration testing, and collaboration with business analysts.
Defines, identifies and describes information architectural requirements with clients, and obtains I&IT management approval.
Analyze government information relevant to business architecture and consult with stakeholders.
Present architecture deliverables to Enterprise Architecture governance reviews.
Document architecture from business, solution, information, and security perspectives.
Support security and privacy assessments and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies.
Work closely with IT leadership, project teams, and stakeholders across the organization.
Define application structures, reusable components, quality metrics, and integration interfaces.
Develop and manage cross-platform applications in large, distributed environments.
Monitor systems and define requirements for source code, middleware, and database interactions.
Shape the long-term technology roadmap and provide strategic guidance.
Advise on architecture, policy, and program development to ensure alignment with organizational goals and participate in innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies for business fit.
This position is listed as "Onsite"; the resource is expected to work between the standard working hours of 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) every Monday to Friday inclusive at the identified OPS office location.

Architecture and Design 50%
Proven experience completing business architectures in government or complex organizations and complex applications
Excellent knowledge and experience with a wide range of methods, techniques and tools for business architecture such as, but not limited to business functional modeling, service lifecycle modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping, value chain analysis, and other related disciplines
Knowledge and experience of information technology providing the ability to integrate and identify IT-enabled opportunities to solve business pressures/needs
Defines, identifies and describes information architectural requirements with clients, and obtains I&IT management approval.
Ability to collaborate with business professionals, to identify and analyze business needs
Experience utilizing techniques and strategies to elicit, identify, validate, analyze, model and document Business Architecture
