About the role
The Production Line Packer is responsible for packaging finished canned products safely, efficiently, and accurately on the production line. This role supports smooth line operation by inspecting cans, packing finished goods, maintaining cleanliness, and following all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Pack finished cans into trays, boxes, or cases according to production requirements Inspect cans for dents, leaks, incorrect fills, or label defects Remove defective products and report issues to the Line Operator or Supervisor Stack completed cases onto pallets in a safe and organized manner Keep the packing area clean, organized, and free of hazards Follow all food safety, quality control, and workplace safety procedures Assist with line changeovers, cleanup, and basic sanitation tasks Communicate effectively with team members to maintain steady production flow Perform other production or packaging duties as assigned Cleaning as required Qualifications Must be at least 19 years of age (required for working around alcohol products) Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks Able to lift up to 20-30 lbs as needed Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast paced environment No previous experience required; training provided Must have certification for Saskatchewan Serve It Right Work Environment Fast paced production and packaging line Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and repetitive motion Shift work may be required (days, evenings, or weekends depending on production schedule)
