About NextLayer Lab NextLayer Lab Ltd. is a Canadian manufacturing company specializing in custom 3D printing, laser engraving, product prototyping, replacement parts, jigs & fixtures, personalized products and small-batch manufacturing. The company is expanding its customer base across Alberta and requires a dedicated team member to support business development, customer success and daily operations.

Position Summary The Business Development & Customer Success Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the growth of NextLayer Lab. This position combines business development, customer service, sales support, marketing coordination and operational assistance, including production, packaging and shipping activities as required. Training will be provided on the company's products, services and manufacturing processes.

Primary Responsibilities Business Development

  • Research and identify potential B2B customers throughout Alberta.
  • Build and maintain prospect and customer databases.
  • Develop relationships with businesses, community organizations and industry partners.
  • Follow up on quotations, customer inquiries and sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, networking events and business outreach.
  • Represent NextLayer Lab at trade shows, community events and networking activities.
  • Travel within Alberta as required for business development and customer meetings.

Customer Success & Sales Support

  • Respond to customer inquiries through phone, email, website and social media.
  • Prepare quotations using company pricing guidelines.
  • Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate customer orders from inquiry to delivery.
  • Provide after-sales follow-up to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Marketing Support

  • Support website updates and social media content.
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Help organize events, demonstrations and product showcases.

Production & Operations Support

  • Assist with production scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Support 3D printing and laser production activities after training.
  • Perform product quality inspection and basic finishing as required.
  • Package customer orders and prepare shipments.
  • Coordinate local deliveries and shipping arrangements.
  • Assist with inventory management, purchasing and stock organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Support general business operations and perform other duties assigned by the Founder & Director.

Qualifications Required

  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional customer service attitude.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Preferred

  • Business, Marketing, Communications or Supply Chain education.
  • Customer service or sales experience.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canva and AI tools.
