Based in Dartmouth, NS, our team has seen some tremendous growth over the past several years. A critical part of our growth & success starts with the Estimating department. We are looking to add a dynamic, intelligent, hardworking Estimator with the drive to succeed to our team. The successful candidate will have an innate ability to form strong relationships with customers, a strong understanding of civil construction & a keen eye for detail. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:

• Completed education in one or more of the following areas:

• Civil Engineering

• Construction Management

• Construction Management Technology

• Civil Engineering Technology

• Extensive experience estimating provincial, municipal & commercial projects.

• Working knowledge of various Estimating, CAD software, Bid 2 Win.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Professional attitude, punctual, assertive, and personable.

• Must have strong communication, time management and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare estimates of probable costs.
• Develop a solid understanding of ARCP business operations.
• Read blueprints to estimate project cost effectively.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers on various estimates towards the construction project.
• Prepare a summary of the quantities in terms of the plans and specs.
• Examine & analyze tender documents, requests for proposals, and requests for quotations.
• Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors.
