Overview

The Exam Invigilator supervises in-person accommodated exams for students with disabilities/medical conditions following established practices and ensures students adhere to relevant University regulations/policies. The position is an hourly paid, part-time/casual position including evenings and weekends. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Prepare the exam space (including computer/assistive technology).
  • Uphold all University Exam Regulations throughout the exam.
  • Ensure the academic integrity for all exams and follow procedures to address any suspected and/or confirmed cheating incidents.
  • Verify student identification.
  • Monitor students during the writing of exams.
  • Address any student questions/concerns.
  • Communicate accurately with University students, faculty & staff.
  • Document anomalies/irregularities.
  • Submit and collect exams.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer software including adaptive technology is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing platform.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Excellent time keeping.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in handling a range of situations which may include complex, sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Reliable, flexible approach to hours/periods of work.
  • Experience working with students at the post-secondary level or secondary school is preferred.
