Overview
The Exam Invigilator supervises in-person accommodated exams for students with disabilities/medical conditions following established practices and ensures students adhere to relevant University regulations/policies. The position is an hourly paid, part-time/casual position including evenings and weekends. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Prepare the exam space (including computer/assistive technology).
- Uphold all University Exam Regulations throughout the exam.
- Ensure the academic integrity for all exams and follow procedures to address any suspected and/or confirmed cheating incidents.
- Verify student identification.
- Monitor students during the writing of exams.
- Address any student questions/concerns.
- Communicate accurately with University students, faculty & staff.
- Document anomalies/irregularities.
- Submit and collect exams.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer software including adaptive technology is preferred.
- Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing platform.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Detail orientated.
- Excellent time keeping.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in handling a range of situations which may include complex, sensitive and confidential issues.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, flexible approach to hours/periods of work.
- Experience working with students at the post-secondary level or secondary school is preferred.
