Description
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on workplace safety and environmental standards.
- Ensure all safety equipment and emergency protocols are in proper working order.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes.
- Investigate workplace incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EHS regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Lead a team of 2 direct reports
- Report directly into the CEO of the company

Profile
- University degree in relevant field and certificate in occupational health and safety
- 10+ years experience in Environmental Health and Safety in a manufacturing operations and/or supply chain environment,
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry is an asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety and environmental policies.
- Strong communication skills to conduct training and collaborate across teams.
- Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to workplace safety.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Job Offer
- Competitive annual base salary ranging from $120000 to $140000 CAD.
- Performance bonuses and a 2% RRSP matching program.
- Job Location: Scarborough (5 days in office)
